For centuries, the enemy has waged war against the Torah — Yehovah’s covenant instructions for His people.
From pulpits to seminaries, countless voices have declared, “The Law is dead. It was nailed to the cross. It’s no longer for us today.”
These claims sound spiritual, but in reality, they are doctrines of demons designed to strip the Body of Messiah of its covenant weapons.
The Torah is not bondage. It is freedom. It is not obsolete. It is eternal. It is not the enemy of grace. It is the battlefield manual of deliverance and victory in Messiah.
Yeshua’s Words Destroy the Lie
Let’s begin with Yeshua’s own words — the highest authority.
In Matthew 5:17–19, He declared:
“Do not think that I came to abolish the Torah or the Prophets! I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall ever pass away from the Torah until all things come to pass.
Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, this one shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”
Heaven and earth are still here. Which means the Torah still stands. To argue otherwise is to call Yeshua a liar. He did not come to destroy the commandments — He came to embody them, to fulfill their deepest meaning, and to empower His followers to walk in them.
This is critical for spiritual warfare: Yeshua Himself ties greatness in the Kingdom to whether you keep and teach His commandments. Warriors who throw away their weapons will always be weak.
Torah Defines the Battlefield of Sin
The Torah does more than instruct — it defines sin itself.
1 John 3:4 (TS2009) makes it plain:
“Everyone doing sin also does lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.”
If the Torah is removed, sin becomes a moving target. It then becomes redefined by feelings, culture, and human opinion.
That’s why in modern churches, what Yehovah calls an abomination is now called “love,” and what He calls holy is mocked as “legalism.”
Lawlessness is not just confusion — it is an open invitation to demons. Spirits of perversion, violence, rebellion, and witchcraft thrive when the standard of Torah is cast aside.
In deliverance ministry, the number one root issue is always this: sin gives demons legal ground. And the Torah is the only divine measuring rod for what sin is.
“To discard Torah is to remove the very foundation of warfare”
Sha’ul (Paul) Did Not Abolish the Torah
The enemy has twisted Sha’ul’s (Paul’s) letters more than any other writings.
But Sha’ul himself wrote in Romans 3:31:
“Do we then nullify the Torah through faith? May it never be! On the contrary, we uphold the Torah.”
Faith and Torah are not enemies!
Faith is how we enter covenant through the blood of Yeshua. Torah is how we remain in covenant, walking in Yehovah’s order and keeping doors closed to the enemy.
Sha’ul never preached lawlessness. In fact, Acts 21 shows him going to the Temple and participating in a Torah vow to prove to everyone that he never told Jews or gentiles to forsake the Law of Moses.
His “controversial” words were always against misusing Torah as a means of earning salvation, not against obeying Torah as covenant living.
The enemy loves to pit Sha’ul against Yeshua — but when read in context, both are in perfect agreement: salvation is only by faith in Yeshua, and obedience to Torah is the fruit that protects and sustains that salvation.
Every Commandment is a Weapon
The Ten Commandments are not dusty relics — they are sharp spiritual weapons. Each one slams the door on a specific strategy of the enemy:
1) No other elohim → shuts out idolatry, witchcraft, and false worship.
2) No idols → destroys demonic altars and generational curses.
3) Honor Yehovah’s Name → gives authority to your prayers in warfare.
4) Keep Sabbath → breaks mammon’s grip and restores covenant rhythm.
5) Honor parents → shatters rebellion and Jezebel’s spirit.
6) Do not murder → shuts down blood curses and spirits of violence.
7) Do not commit adultery → severs soul ties and expels lust demons.
8) Do not steal → removes the spirit of poverty and mammon’s chains.
9) Do not bear false witness → silences Leviathan and the accuser.
10) Do not covet → destroys envy, greed, and witchcraft manipulation.
The Remnant’s Mark
Revelation 12:17 identifies the true remnant:
“And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of Elohim and possessing the witness of Yeshua Messiah.”
This is the ultimate battlefield picture: the dragon rages specifically at those who do two things — keep the commandments and hold the testimony of Yeshua. Why? Because that combination makes them unstoppable.
Lawless “believers” may sing songs, but they are unarmed. Torah-keeping, Yeshua-confessing warriors terrify the enemy because they walk in both covenant obedience and redemption power.
Final Word of Truth
The Torah is not your enemy. It is not abolished. It is your battlefield manual. It is Yehovah’s strategy for shutting doors, breaking curses, and walking in victory.
Yeshua’s blood redeems you from the curse of disobedience, but it does not give you license to live lawless.
Redemption without obedience is fragile. Obedience without redemption is powerless. But together, faith and Torah make you a weapon of righteousness that the enemy cannot withstand.
Key Takeaway:
First the blood — redemption through Yeshua.
Then the walk — obedience to Torah.
Together — deliverance, protection, and lasting victory.
“For the commandment is a lamp and the Torah a light.” (Proverbs 6:23)
The Torah still stands. The commandments still matter. And they are the arsenal Yehovah has given His people for the final battles of this age.
