Heart Of Worship…What Does True Worship Look Like?

Remember that song that came out years ago that said, “I’m coming back to the heart of worship, and it’s all about you…Yeshua”…I loved that song because it was the truth. So many of us need to come back to “heart” and “true nature” or what “true worship” is.

There was one night when my spouse and I were eating our dinner, we were listening to “Christian” music. About three songs were played and as each one played, my heart became more heavy as the Abba spoke to it and told me that these songs were not worshiping Him.

They were all focused on the people singing, and what Elohim had done, and what they wanted from Him. This is not worship. These were soulish “love songs” at best and completely focused on self and at the adversity or problems at worst. This is Idolatrous.

Elohim was very clear and I could hear the tone in which He spoke this to my heart. He was not pleased. He was not receiving this worship. It reminds me of what Cain and Abel brought to Elohim as a sacrifice.

Abel bought his very best. He brought what He knew Elohim had instituted since He had to make the fur garments for his parents. Elohim desired a blood sacrifice. Abel’s sacrifice’s smoke went straight upward and He was pleased.

Cain on the other hand decided that he was going to give what HE thought was best and not what Elohim had asked for. He brought produce. He was selfish and only cared about himself and what he thought and what he thought Elohim needed to accept.

The Word says that Elohim is looking for those that will worship Him “In spirit and in truth”…and only those that have “clean hands and a pure heart “ can ascend to His Holy mountain.

We need to measure ourselves and our worship by the measuring stick of the Word. Before we can come and offer Elohim our worship, we need to examine our hearts.

If we are still caught in the grips of things like gossip, pornography, or lying…then our worship will not be accepted. Imagine if you will, our worship being placed on that altar and this hidden sin is still in our heart…the smoke doesn’t rise…it billows off to the sides and never ascends.

One of the main reasons that we were created was to worship Elohim in His Majesty and His Mercy and Grace; but how can we ever hope to accomplish this when we are in bondage from the spirits of lust  or idolatry, etc?

Imagine yourself as you are now if you are one of those that I am speaking of. Look at your robe…had it been washed in the Blood of the Lamb and you are without spot or wrinkle?

I can tell you unequivocally that if you are still battling these spirits and ENGAGING in sin on a regular basis…then you are not without spot or wrinkle and if  Adonai would come for you today…if your soul would be required of you…you would NOT enter into heaven.

I do not say this lightly or to make you feel condemned. Condemnation is of the devil. Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit) will convict your heart. If you know this to be true…if you feel a wall of separation when you try to worship Elohim…why not break it down?

Don’t suffer another day with this bondage. Take a step to get free. The only way is through deliverance from Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit). It can be yours today…get deliverance and let the smoke and incense of your prayers begin to rise and be a sweet smell to your Father. He loves you so much and wants nothing more than this close relationship with you.
