Breaking Soul Ties Exercise

1 Sam 18:1 And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.

Other examples:

Ungodly examples:
Adam and Eve: Adam broke Yah’s commandment to please his wife.

Sampson and Delilah: Sampson’s relationship with her was based on lust and fornication. This caused him to lose his Yah-given position as judge.

Godly examples:

Joseph and Miriam: Joseph loved Miriam and was willing to put her away quietly when he thought that she was unfaithful to their engagement.

John and Yeshua: John was the only disciple that was bold enough in his love to go to the cross and witness the messiah’s death.

Soul Ties are formed with relationships with other people; by coming under the influence whether by sexual intimacy, close proximity or by reading their works or listening to their music or any other form of human expression.

What Yah told us about soul ties:

What is your soul? It is your mind, your will and your emotions. Anything that you connect with using any part of your soul ( which all three are connected anyway), you are developing a soul tie.

You become intertwined with that person, place or thing.

Does having your phone trigger an emotional response? Does not having your phone trigger an emotional response? Can you have an unnatural emotional response with an animal? Does it trigger an emotion? Does longing to be in a certain place trigger an emotion?

“Not every emotion causes a soul tie but every soul tie triggers an emotion”

You are to be one with Me. You are to be one with your spouse. You are to love Adonai your Elohim with all your heart, soul, and mind. You are to love your wife as Messiah loved the church.

Anything that commands more attention towards a person, place, or thing and removes your attention off Me or your spouse, or away from any good and holy soul ties, becomes an ungodly soul tie.

Soul ties are not just with humans. Soul ties can be created with anything in which your soul can become intertwined. The desire will come first which triggers the emotion, you use your will to move in that direction, you use your mind to make the decision to become connected to whatever it may be.

This is why I must be the only thing that matters to you. Anything that draws you away from me will cause a negative soul tie to be developed in which case they must repent, break and renounce the soul tie.

Allow me to fill your soul (your mind, your will and emotions). Never let anything draw you away from Me.

There are two types of soul ties:
1. godly
2. ungodly.

Soul ties will cause the following to occur in one’s life:

Godly

One person to follow another
One to fulfill the other’s desires
Surrender their goods to another
Angrily defend the other when they are attacked
Protect the other in times of danger
Cause loyalty between the leader and followers
Can be destroyed through witchcraft
Created by the Lord
Created through marriage covenant
Healthy and Fruitful
Edify and based on Love
Helps a person to help carry out a vision in the pastor’s heart
Help you care for another person such as family and friends

Ungodly

Be formed through fornication
Give you a check in your spirit
Cause your works to be destroyed
Be formed through witchcraft
Turn a person’s heart away from Yah
Brings manipulation and mind-control
Based on lust, witchcraft, domination and bondage
Makes you think too highly of a person
Soul Tie Exercise:

Get a paper and writing instrument. Start with reciting these verses:

Romans 5:8– But Yah shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Messiah died for us.

John 1:10-13– He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of Yah, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of Yah.

John 3:16 – “For Yah so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Revelation 3:20 – Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.

Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Hebrews 11:6 – And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to Yah must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Step 1:
Pray: Abba, I know that you want me to be free. In obtaining my freedom; you prescribe that I break every soul tie that is not of you. I ask that your Ruach HaKodesh quicken my memory and mind and bring everyone to my mind that I need to sever ungodly soul ties with.

Step 2:
List 1:  All Sexual Partners- Ask Ruach HaKodesh to bring all names to your remembrance

List 2:  Family Members (especially our children)- While family is given to us by Yah, many relationships can have unhealthy elements, list those that Ruach HaKodesh prompts you to

List 3:  Entertainment- Authors of books, music groups, actors, etc.-List everyone that you connected on a soulish level with.

List 4:  Animals, inanimate objects, practices, etc. – List any animals you may have an inordinate affection towards, any object such as your smartphone and any ungodly practices that you may have a soulish attachment to

List 5:  Spiritual Leaders- List any pastors or leaders that you may have allowed to have control or domination over you

List 6:  Co-workers- List any bosses or co-workers that you may have had an unhealthy relationship with

List 7:  Friends- List any friends that you may have had an ungodly relationship with

Make sure you are THOROUGH! Ask Ruach HaKodesh to let you know when the list is complete.

Step 3:
To break the soul ties, pray this:

Right now, in the mighty name of Yeshua, I renounce and break every ungodly soul tie with every person that I had intimate contact with that is not my spouse and I also break any ungodly soul tie with (Name of spouse.)

I break the ungodly soul tie with: List 1.
(Go through the list and name each person one by one as follows: I break the ungodly soul tie with Names, one by one.)

Adonai, you gave me my family and family relationships are godly as long as there is no intimidation, manipulation, domination or control. I understand that allowing myself to be controlled by another is a sin of which I repent for right now. I repent for allowing family member name (Name every family member that has had control over you, one by one) to control me and right now I break the ungodly soul tie with ______. ) Break List 2 Soul Ties.

Abba, You gave us the gift of sound minds and right now I renounce and break every ungodly soul tie with List 3 (names of all forms of entertainment one by one).

Father, you gave us this world to enjoy and I understand that if anything has more time than you, then it is a sin and idolatry. Right now, I repent for idolatry and I renounce and break every ungodly soul tie with (List 4 one by one)

Adonai, you gave us pastors and spiritual leaders to bring us closer to you. I understand that many that are in the pulpits of this world are hirelings and not pastors after your own heart. I repent for the idolatry of allowing any spiritual leader and their opinions or practices to take precedence over you and your Word. I now renounce and break every ungodly soul tie with (List 5 names, one by one)

Abba, I know that I am to be in this world, but not to be of this world and I have taken jobs that may not have glorified you or advanced your Kingdom and for that I repent and I renounce and break every ungodly soul tie with everyone that I have worked with that I had controlling or dominating me at work. I now break every ungodly soul tie with (List 6 names, one by one).

Father, You said in your Word that it is not good for man to be alone and you gave us relationships with others and gave us the gift of friendship. I understand that when I have listened to the counsel of friends and their counsel took precedence over what you spoke to me personally or what your Word says, that was a sin and I repent for that. I now renounce and break every ungodly soul tie with (List 7 Friends, one by one).

Thank you Ruach HaKodesh for bringing everyone & everything to my remembrance that I needed to break soul ties with. Thank you for the beginning of my freedom!
